New Orleans is a major port in the United States and the largest city and metropolitan area in the state of Louisiana. New Orleans is situated in the Mississippi River Delta, on the east and west banks of the Mississippi River and south of Lake Pontchartrain. The area along the river is characterised by ridges and hollows. The Saint Louis Cemeteries, historic cemeteries built in the 18th century, are one of the city's most significant sights. Located in the iconic Jackson Square is St. Louis Cathedral. This national historic monument is the oldest continually operating cathedral in the country. One of the most famous neighbourhoods in America is New Orleans's French Quarter. Enjoy the historical architecture, jazz clubs and restaurants that are plentiful in the area. The French Quarter is also the hotspot for Mardi Gras celebrations. Mardi Gras is the city's impressive carnival. Millions participate in the carnival and enjoy its parades and balls. New Orleans is one of the most unique cities in the United States. Cozumel is an island in the Caribbean Sea off the eastern coast of Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula, opposite Playa del Carmen and close to the Yucatán Channel. The main town on the island is San Miguel de Cozumel. The island belongs to Cozumel Municipality in the state of Quintana Roo, Mexico. There are several beach clubs that offer snorkelling, and the main attractions are the offshore reefs and the many dive shops. Cozumel also has several Mayan archaeological sites. The most extensive remains are at San Gervasio, an inland site a few miles north of the Carretera Transversal highway. Another site is located near the village of El Cedral, inland from the Carretera Costera Sur highway. In Punta Sur Park, at the southern tip of the island, you’ll find the El Caracol temple, believed to have been used as a lighthouse by the Mayans.

The Cayman Islands are a group of islands in the Caribbean Sea, about ninety miles south of Cuba. Located on the west coast, north of George Town, Seven Mile Beach is often ranked among the finest beaches in the world. Falmouth is the main town and capital of the parish of Trelawny in Jamaica. It sits on Jamaica’s north coast, about 18 miles east of Montego Bay, and is regarded as one of the Caribbean’s best-preserved Georgian towns. Founded by Thomas Reid in 1769, Falmouth thrived for around forty years as a busy market centre and port, during a period when Jamaica was the world’s leading sugar producer. It was named after Falmouth in Cornwall, United Kingdom, the birthplace of Sir William Trelawny, the Governor of Jamaica who played a key role in establishing the town. From the outset, Falmouth was carefully planned, with broad streets laid out in a regular grid, a reliable water supply, and substantial public buildings. Remarkably, it had a piped water system before New York City. Today, Falmouth still has a number of notable historic buildings in the Jamaican Georgian style, many of which are in need of careful preservation and restoration.
