It is very well located with a lot of dining shopping options within walking distance… if you don’t mind walking up and down hills. Parking on site is very limited and parking on the street is also limited, but doable. The appearance of the hotel is older, but it’s well maintained. Comfortable beds. What I enjoy the most was the buffet breakfast: great options and delicious. I also liked the pool and shaded patio area

I am sorry to say, but it was not a good experience. Good location and positive, friendly staff was not even close to compensate appaling room and bathroom. Entering the room i was hit by a heavy disinfectant/cleaning solution smell, that took couple hours of open windows to get rid off. The smell of damp from the bathroom could not be fixed though. Apart from the smell, bathroom was simply dirty, most surfaces showing smudges, and dust and hair in the more difficult to reach corners. Everything seemed a bit sticky and old, showing different states of ware. Breakfast, included in the price was mostly tasteless, and thank god for cold cuts that left something edible on the menu. Again, it is a shame, as even though it’s an old hotel, common areas seemed well maintained, staff was approachable and helpful, and the location suited me very well (easy to get from the airport, close to activities , restaurants, etc.).

Disappointed. Upcharges everywhere

1 of the elevators was down and its clear this is an older hotel. Seems like they try to upcharge you for everything. I stayed at a 3 star hotel that was nicer than this one on Madeira. This is not a 4 star hotel.

وقتی به فونچال می‌رسید، از بی‌حجمی آن شگفت‌زده می‌شوید. خانه‌ها و خانه‌های بیشتری از دریا بلند می‌شوند و کل آمفی‌تئاتر طبیعی را که فونچال است، می‌پوشانند. این مرکز بزرگ تجاری، توریستی و فرهنگی جزیره مادیرا است. La Zona Velha، شهر قدیمی شهر، هنوز هم زندگی محلی پر جنب و جوش خود را حفظ می کند و شیک ترین مکان در جزیره است. قدم زدن در خیابان‌های باریک سنگ‌فرش شده با موزه‌های کوچک، مغازه‌ها و کافه‌ها و منطقه بندری قدیمی نمکی لذتی واقعی است. شب محله زنده می شود. رستوران ها تا آبشش شلوغ شده اند و خیابان سنت مری به محل ملاقات جوانان آماده برای گذراندن اوقات خوش تبدیل می شود. برای لذت بردن از گیاهان شگفت انگیز جزیره، لازم نیست فونچال را ترک کنید. در حومه شهر، باغ‌های باشکوهی مانند Jardim Botânico، Quinta da Boa Vista، Palheiro Gardens و Monte Palace Tropical Gardens را می‌بینیم که با تله‌کابین از مرکز Funchal به آن‌ها می‌رسید. برخی از کارهای جالب دیگر برای انجام و بازدید عبارتند از: Mercado dos Lavradores، بازار بسیار رنگارنگ محصولات تازه و صنایع دستی. کلیسای جامع قرن 15; انبارهای شراب Quinta das Cruzes و Adegas São Francisco. دلایل زیادی برای دوست داشتن شهر بندری شلوغ وجود دارد، که با وجود کوچک بودن، چیزهای زیادی برای ارائه دارد.
