Its prime spot on the French Riviera makes it a real jewel of a city. The oldest part of Monaco is known as the Rock. Here you’ll find the National Council, the parliament of the Principality of Monaco, and the Prince’s Palace. The Palace is a major tourist draw, even if from the outside there’s little to suggest it’s home to the Royal Family. Its true value lies inside, where magnificent rooms are filled with an impressive collection of art. Aim to arrive at 11:55am for the daily changing of the guard. The most celebrated part of the city is Monte Carlo, with its majestic Casino. Monte Carlo oozes privilege and opulence, its streets thronged with celebrities and the super‑rich, all flaunting a hedonistic lifestyle. Port de Sant Miguel is a small beach resort with a white sandy beach on the north west coast of Ibiza. This small settlement was once the fisherman’s port for the nearby village of Sant Miquel de Balansat. The resort is situated in a small sheltered inlet surrounded by steep cliffs which are topped with pine woodland and scrub. At the head of the cove is a small sandy beach.
