Tracy Arm is a fjord in Alaska near Juneau (outlet at 57°46′40″N 133°37′00″W). It is named after U.S. Secretary of the Navy Benjamin Franklin Tracy. The fjord lies about 45 miles (72 km) south of Juneau and 70 miles (110 km) north of Petersburg, Alaska, off Holkham Bay and adjacent to Stephens Passage within the Tongass National Forest. Tracy Arm is the core of the Tracy Arm–Fords Terror Wilderness, designated by the United States Congress in 1990.
Tracy Arm–Fords Terror Wilderness covers 653,179 acres (2,643.32 km²) and consists of two deep, narrow fjords: Tracy Arm and Endicott Arm. Both fjords are over 30 miles (48 km) long, and about one-fifth of their area is covered in ice. In summer, the fjords contain large amounts of floating ice, ranging from hand-sized pieces to blocks as large as a three-story building. During the most recent glacial period, both fjords were filled with active glaciers.

Day 7
hubbard glacier (cruising)
Arrival: 07:00
-
Departure: 11:00
Hubbard Glacier is a tidewater glacier located in the Saint Elias Mountains in Alaska (United States) and the Yukon Territory in Canada.
From its origin in the Yukon Territory, the glacier extends approximately 122 km (76 mi) to Disenchantment Bay and Yakutat Bay, making it the longest glacier in Alaska that ends in the ocean. Its face is more than 10 km (6 mi) wide. Before reaching the water, it is joined by Valerie Glacier, which experts believe provides an additional push that will eventually lead to the permanent separation of Russell Fjord from Disenchantment Bay.
In May 1986, and again in the spring of 2002, this separation occurred temporarily, creating what is known as Russell Lake. In 1986, after the fjord’s water level rose to about 25 m (82 ft) above sea level during the summer, water pressure eventually broke through the ice dam around midnight on October 8, 1986, reconnecting the fjord with the ocean. This outburst flood was the second-largest jökulhlaup (glacial outburst flood) ever recorded.
