About the destination

Alcudia is a town in the north of the island of Mallorca, one of the Balearic Islands off the Spanish east coast. Alcudia boasts an impressive historic quarter made up of Renaissance and ancestral homes and ancient Roman archaeological sites. The old town is encircled by old medieval walls dating back to the 14th century and inside you'll discover beautiful picturesque lanes, two medieval gates, a few small museums, a lovely church and remains of an old Roman town, including a Roman Amphitheatre from the 1st century BC. There's also a good few small cafes and restaurants. Not far away is Port d’Alcudia, a major summer resort with loads of hotels and plenty of restaurants around the marina and stunning white-sand beaches. The port covers a massive bay, a long beach stretches to the resort of Can Picafort. In the background, the marshland area of Albufera is a nature reserve. Cap de Formentor, an amazing spot, is also nearby.
