Yokohama is the second largest city in Japan and one of the cities most accustomed to seeing foreigners. Yokohama is a modern international port city filled with sightseeing spots and an exotic atmosphere that can be traced back to its historic opening as a port. The Yokohama Landmark Tower at 296 m is one of Japan's largest buildings and the centrepiece of the Minato Mirai 21 (MM21) development. The Landmark Tower was completed in the early 1990s. There is a viewing gallery on the 69th floor - the Sky Garden, accessed by a super-fast lift, with excellent views on a clear day. Yokohama has a large number of other interesting museums and galleries, many connected with the history of the city as a port and a gateway between Japan and the world.

For over a millennium, Kyoto was the capital of Japan and it's likely the best preserved of all its cities. It's a stunning, lively city where modern life intersects with old traditional Japan. The city is nestled amongst the mountains of Western Honshu and serves as an ideal base for exploring the Kansai region. The city is steeped in heritage sites and culture, boasts a wide variety and number of eateries and is relatively easy to get around. Its rich culture and heritage seep from every piece of architecture and tradition. Kyoto is home to thousands of temples and shrines, including the spectacular golden Kinkaku-ji, Ryoanji with its Zen garden, the popular Kiyomizu-dera, Sanjusangendo with its life-size statues of Kannon and the more serene Tenryu-ji in Arashiyama. Also in Arashiyama, you'll find the famous Bamboo Grove. A fantastic thing to do in Kyoto is a walking tour of Gion, one of the main Geisha districts. Its wooden buildings and lamps create the perfect atmosphere. Kyoto is one of the world's greatest historical cities, brimming with temples, shrines, teahouses and imperial residences. Kyoto is a city steeped in culture and heritage and is a must-visit for anyone with an interest in Japanese history and culture.

Kobe (神戸, Kōbe) is the capital of Hyogo Prefecture and one of Japan's ten largest cities. Situated between the sea and the Rokko mountain range, Kobe is also regarded as one of Japan's most attractive cities. Kobe has been an important port city for many centuries. Its port was among the first to be opened to foreign trade in the 19th century, alongside the ports of Yokohama, Nagasaki, Hakodate, and Niigata. In 1995, Kobe was struck by the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, which claimed the lives of over 5,000 people and destroyed tens of thousands of buildings. Today, the city is completely rebuilt, and few signs of the terrible event remain.

Experience the colourful lifestyle of the West Coast on the Venice Beach Boardwalk. Here, you will find a festive atmosphere, eclectic entertainers and funky shops. By the scene at Santa Monica Beach, is the famous Pier with a perennial carnival like setting. Draws locals, as well as visitors from around the world. Located in Griffith Park on Mt. Hollywood is the Griffith Observatory. This great public observatory has state of the art facilities and excellent views of Los Angeles. If you are a shopping buff, you will love Rodeo Drive. A glamorous shopping District, Rodeo Drive is full of upscale and fashionable shops. Take a walk around Beverly Hills, you might even spot a celebrity in this neighbourhood. This city offers great weather, good shopping, lots of diversity, great cultural events, excellent dining, and friendly people. Los Angeles is cool, fake, stylized, vast and never boring.
