Departure: 23:59
Santo Domingo is the capital city of the Dominican Republic. Located on the south central coast of the island, it is considered the oldest European city in the Americas. The Colonial Zone is the perfect starting point for visitors to discover Santo Domingo. Here, between Independence Park and the Ozama River, you will find the first city built in the New World by European settlers. The first street in the Americas is Calle de Las Damas, featuring many examples of 15th and 16th century architecture, including the Ozama Fortress, the oldest fortress in the Americas, and the Alcázar de Colón. Of great historical interest is the Museo de las Casas Reales, the restored 16th century palace of the Spanish Court, which features a wonderful glimpse of the past. Nearby the walled city, visitors will find the Cathedral Basilica Santa Maria la Menor, considered the first cathedral in the New World. While touring the narrow streets of the Colonial Zone, visitors will feel that history comes alive here. The Zone ends at the Malecón. Also known as George Washington Avenue, El Malecón is a waterfront boulevard lined with bistros, bars and discos and is the location of the Dominican Carnival celebrated in February.Santo Domingo is a cosmopolitan and lively city full of historical colonial sites and oozing Latin charm from every street and plaza.

Day 3
roseau, dominica
Arrival: 09:00 - Departure: 19:00
Dominica, officially known as the Commonwealth of Dominica, is an island nation in the West Indies. The capital, Roseau, is situated on the western side of the island. Geographically, it is part of the Leeward Islands chain in the Lesser Antilles archipelago in the Caribbean Sea. The island is located near Guadeloupe to the northwest and Martinique to the south-southeast. Its area is 750 km2 (290 sq mi), and the highest point is Morne Diablotins, at 1,447 m (4,747 ft) in elevation. The population was 71,293 at the 2011 census. It is said that Columbus passed the island on Sunday 3 November 1493. It was later colonised by Europeans, predominantly by the French from the 1690s to 1763. Great Britain took possession in 1763 after the Seven Years' War, and gradually established English as its official language. The island republic gained independence in 1978. Its name is pronounced with emphasis on the third syllable, related to its French name of Dominique. Dominica has been nicknamed the "Nature Isle of the Caribbean" for its natural environment. It is the youngest island in the Lesser Antilles, and in fact it is still being formed by geothermal-volcanic activity, as evidenced by the world's second-largest hot spring, called Boiling Lake. The island has lush mountainous rainforests, and it is the home of many rare plants, animals, and bird species. There are xeric areas in some of the western coastal regions, but heavy rainfall occurs inland. The Sisserou parrot, also known as the imperial amazon and found only on Dominica, is the island's national bird and featured on the national flag, which is one of only two national flags containing the colour purple (the other being Nicaragua).

Day 4
fort de france, martinique
Arrival: 09:00 - Departure: 22:30
Martinique is a Caribbean island that’s an overseas department of France, lying in the Caribbean Sea north of St Lucia and south of Dominica. The south of the island has many beautiful beaches that attract large numbers of tourists, while in the north the rainforests and black-sand beaches are well worth a visit. The interior of the island is mountainous. Martinique offers enormous variety and natural beauty. You’ll find plenty of things to see here, from white-sand beaches to lush tropical rainforest and, of course, the volcano Mont Pelée. Fort-de-France, the administrative capital of Martinique, is a charming French city with a tropical flavour. The city has a rich history and its narrow, lively streets are lined with colourful buildings packed with shops and places to eat.

Arrival: 08:00 - Departure: 22:00
Guadeloupe, lying southeast of Puerto Rico, is a group of islands in the eastern Caribbean and is actually part of France. Known as Butterfly Island because of the shape of two of its main islands, the Guadeloupe archipelago is home to a fantastic underwater world. The two main islands are Basse-Terre and Grande-Terre. Basse-Terre is less touristy and is home to Guadeloupe National Park, with its rainforest, large volcano and many waterfalls. Grande-Terre is where the country’s capital, Pointe-à-Pitre, is located, as well as a string of beach towns offering plenty of activities and tourist facilities. On Grande-Terre you’ll find beautiful white-sand beaches, while on Basse-Terre you’ll find striking black beaches of volcanic sand. Guadeloupe is surprisingly diverse and makes an ideal holiday spot, whatever your preferences. Choose between white or black beaches; tranquil seas for discovering an amazing variety of tropical fish, or bigger waves for watersports. There’s plenty of nature to explore on land too: walks through tropical forest or along dramatic cliffs, views of the volcano, visits to plantations, colonial architecture and much more besides.

The two larger islands are rich in lush mountain rainforests, quiet, uncrowded beaches, historic ruins, long-dormant volcanoes and charming Georgian towns such as Basseterre, the capital. Basseterre is a classic Caribbean port, with quaint, colourful streets, colonial architecture and friendly people in a truly idyllic setting. Tortola is the largest and most populated of the British Virgin Islands, a group of islands that form part of the Virgin Islands archipelago. The shelter provided by the islands surrounding Tortola keeps the seas calm most of the time, making the area an appealing destination for anyone prone to motion sickness on small-boat trips.
