Day 4
icy strait point, alaska
Arrival: 07:00 - Departure: 17:00
The Icy Strait is a waterway in the Alexander Archipelago in south-eastern Alaska. It separates Chichagof Island to the south from the Alaska mainland to the north. The strait stretches for about 64 km (40 miles), from its western end where it meets Cross Sound and Glacier Bay, to its eastern end at Chatham Strait and the Lynn Canal. The two largest islands in the strait are Pleasant Island and Lemesurier Island. The Cape Spencer Light is an important former lighthouse and remains an active aid to navigation. Icy Strait Point is owned and operated by Alaska Natives, with all profits going directly to support the community of Hoonah, Alaska’s largest Native Tlingit village. Most of the staff (around 85%), who largely call Hoonah home, are dedicated to offering every guest a unique experience that’s strongly rooted in local Native culture and hospitality.

Day 5
endicott arm & dawes glacier
Arrival: 09:00 - Departure: 15:00
Tracy Arm is a fjord in Alaska near Juneau (outlet at 57° 46' 40" N 133° 37' 0" W). It is named after the Secretary of the Navy Benjamin Franklin Tracy. It is located about 45 miles (72 km) south of Juneau and 70 miles (110 km) north of Petersburg, Alaska, off Holkham Bay and beside Stephens Passage within the Tongass National Forest. Tracy Arm is the heart of the Tracy Arm–Fords Terror Wilderness, designated by the United States Congress in 1990. Tracy Arm–Fords Terror Wilderness covers 653,179 acres (2,643.32 km²) and consists of two deep and narrow fjords: Tracy Arm and Endicott Arm. Both fjords are over 30 miles (48 km) long and one-fifth of their area is covered in ice. During the summer, the fjords have substantial floating ice ranging from hand-sized pieces to ones as large as a three-storey building. During the most recent glaciated period, both fjords were filled with active glaciers.

Day 6
ketchikan, alaska
Arrival: 08:00 - Departure: 17:00
Ketchikan is a city and the borough seat of the Ketchikan Gateway Borough in Alaska, and is the state’s most south‑easterly major settlement. The downtown area is designated as a National Historic District. At the 2010 census it had a population of 8,050, making it the fifth most populous city in Alaska, and the tenth most populous community when census‑designated places are included. The wider borough—which includes suburbs to the north and south along the Tongass Highway (generally regarded as part of Ketchikan, though outside the city limits) and small rural settlements mostly accessible by water—had a population of 13,477 at the same census, with US Census estimates putting the 2019 population at 13,901. Incorporated on 25 August 1900, Ketchikan is the oldest surviving incorporated city in Alaska, as consolidation and unification elsewhere led to the dissolution of other city governments. It is located on Revillagigedo Island, named in 1793 by Captain George Vancouver. Ketchikan takes its name from Ketchikan Creek, which runs through the town and flows into the Tongass Narrows just south‑east of the downtown area. “Ketchikan” derives from the Tlingit name for the creek, Kitschk‑hin, whose meaning is uncertain. It may mean “the river belonging to Kitschk”; other accounts say it means “Thundering Wings of an Eagle”. In modern Tlingit, the name is Kichx̱áan.
