Arrival: 07:00 - Departure: 14:00
Lerwick is the main town and port of the Shetland Islands, Scotland. Shetland's only burgh, Lerwick had a population of about 7,000 residents in 2010. Centred 123 miles (200 km) off the north coast of the Scottish mainland and on the east coast of the Shetland Mainland, Lerwick lies 211 miles (340 km) north-by-northeast of Aberdeen; 222 miles (357 km) west of the similarly sheltered port of Bergen in Norway; and 228 miles (367 km) south east of Tórshavn in the Faroe Islands. It is both the most northerly and the most easterly town in Scotland.[citation needed] One of the UK's coastal weather stations is situated there. Significant buildings in Lerwick include Fort Charlotte, Lerwick Town Hall, the Böd of Gremista, Shetland Museum and Archives and Clickimin Broch. Because of the historic nature of the area, some scenes from BBC's Shetland were filmed in Lerwick.

Arrival: 09:00 - Departure: 20:00
Nestled at the very end of Norway’s longest fjord, Skjolden is a hidden gem for travelers seeking breathtaking natural beauty and tranquility. This charming village sits where the Lustrafjord meets the towering Jotunheimen mountains, offering a perfect blend of dramatic landscapes and serene waters. Skjolden provides a peaceful base for exploring some of Norway’s most impressive scenery, from lush valleys and cascading waterfalls to glaciers and hiking trails. Outdoor enthusiasts will find plenty to do in Skjolden. The area is a gateway to Jotunheimen National Park, home to Norway’s highest peaks and a network of hiking routes for all skill levels. Popular activities include kayaking on the crystal-clear fjord, cycling along quiet country roads, and visiting the awe-inspiring Nigardsbreen Glacier for a guided walk on the ice. For a more leisurely experience, enjoy a scenic fjord cruise or simply relax by the water’s edge and soak in the mountain views. Skjolden’s small size adds to its appeal, providing an intimate atmosphere and a chance to connect with local culture. Visit the historic Skjolden Church, browse local craft shops, or enjoy traditional Norwegian cuisine at a cozy café. Don’t miss the Feigumfossen waterfall nearby, a stunning 218-meter cascade that’s especially impressive in the spring and early summer. Whether you’re seeking adventure or relaxation, Skjolden offers an unforgettable escape into the heart of Norway’s fjord country.

Day 5
nordfjordeid
Arrival: 10:00 - Departure: 18:00
Nordfjordeid is the administrative centre of the municipality of Stad in Vestland county, western Norway. It is located at the end of the Eidsfjorden, an arm off of the main Nordfjorden, west of the large lake Hornindalsvatnet. The town is a commercial hub for the municipality and it includes several industries, shopping, and schools. Eid Church is also located in the town and it is the main church for the municipality. The European route E39 highway passes by Nordfjordeid on its way from Bergen to Ålesund. Norwegian National Road 15 passes through the town on its way from Måløy to Otta There are many tourist attractions in this area, such as Sagastad viking ship, Geirangerfjord and the famous glacier at Briksdalen which attracts numerous international tourists every year. There is also the well known Harpefossen Ski Resort and a thriving professional opera company (see below for details). Nordfjordeid is the location of the Sophus Lie Conference Center for mathematics.[3] Notable mathematician Sophus Lie was born in the town in 1842.[4] There are many possibilities of fine hiking in the mountains, either north or south, surrounding the town, a hiking trail starting near the Lote Tunnel going south leads to a magnificent 900-metre (3,000 ft) high view over other arms of the Nordfjorden and splendid area. Nordfjordeid is also the host for Malakoff Rockfestival, where artists such as Oselie, The School, Bertine Zetlitz, Marit Larsen, Lukestar, Jim Stärk, Animal Alpha, Åge Aleksandersen, Eye Emma Jedi, Svelekameratane, and Turbonegro have performed. Nordfjord boasts an operahouse of its own.[1] Once a year a professional opera or operetta is produced locally by the Nordfjord Opera Company.[2] The initiative for opera in a remote place with only 3,000 inhabitants is owed to Kari Standal Pavelich who organises the productions and also founded the Nordfjord Opera Company. She plays the violin in the orchestra, her husband Michael conducts. [3] A 2016 performance of Jacques Offenbach's Tales of Hoffmann was reviewed in a German opera blog. [4] Kari and Michael Pavelich were awarded a royal distinction after an opera performance.
