Mystery Island, also known as Inyeug Island, is a small uninhabited island in Tafea Province, Vanuatu, in the Pacific Ocean. The name “Inyeug” means “Small Island” in a local language. Cruise ships that regularly visit the island use the name Mystery Island. Covering about 15.9 hectares, the island lies roughly 1 km south of Aneityum Island. Inyeug is bordered to the west and south by the coral Intao Reef, which stretches further south and, though submerged, forms the southernmost point of Vanuatu. Mystery Island hosts the airport that serves nearby inhabited Aneityum Island. The airport is essentially a grass airstrip that receives small aircraft flights twice weekly from Port Vila via Tanna Island.
