Dubai and Zanzibar, 10 days

About the destination: Dubai is the city and emirate with the highest population in the United Arab Emirates. Dubai is a bustling hub of activity and a cosmopolitan and modern city. The city of Dubai is divided by a creek, with Deira on one side and Bur Dubai, the historical district, on the other. The luxury beach hotels are located on the outskirts of the busy city centre, in the Jumeirah area. Dubai already showcases some breathtaking architecture and it boasts the only 7-star hotel in the world, the tallest building in the world, stunning beaches and luxury shopping centres. The Bastakiya Quarter, at the heart of Dubai’s Old Town, still retains its traditional charm and is a reminder of Dubai’s past. Here you’ll find traditional Emirati houses, lively souks, museums, galleries, and the only remaining section of the old Dubai city wall. Another major attraction in Dubai is the Jumeirah Mosque, which, although outside the Old Town, is a fantastic example of traditional Islamic architecture. Dubai is a forward-thinking city in constant development but it has managed to preserve its traditions and culture. So it's fair to say that Dubai is one of the most exciting places in the world.

About the destination: Zanzibar is a semi-autonomous archipelago off the coast of Tanzania consisting of Zanzibar Island or Unguja, Pemba Island and many smaller islands. Zanzibar is a fusion of Arabic, Indian and African cultures. There's a heap to see and do on Zanzibar Island. First and foremost, do enjoy the stunning white sand beaches especially at the north, east and south coast. The sand is as fine as castor sugar. Zanzibar also has a fair few caves, like Tazani near Nungwi. Also, do a village tour that are offered all over the island. The market in Stone Town, the captivating capital, is one of the largest, most lively open-air markets anywhere. It doesn’t get any better than Zanzibar.
