The Castle of Sant Joan is deeply intertwined with the origins of the town of Lloret. Santa Clotilde’s Garden This stunning garden, landscaped atop a cliff with breathtaking sea views, exemplifies the spirit of the Noucentista movement in Catalonia - an early 20th-century intellectual and aesthetic renewal movement represented by the writer Eugeni d'Ors. The Santa Clotilde gardens were designed in the style of the elegant yet austere gardens of the Italian Renaissance by Nicolau Rubió i Tudurí when he was just twenty-eight years old.
