Angsana Velavaru offers 3 restaurants and private, luxury beachfront and water villas with private pools on Velavaru Island (Turtle Island). It is a 45-minute seaplane ride from Malé International Airport. Angsana Velavaru is a family friendly resort, and has an indoor and outdoor kids’ club, which offers a wide variety of activities including babysitting services. To capture the best of both worlds, Angsana Velavaru is half on the crystal clear waters of the Maldivian ocean and half on the white sandy beaches of the South Nilandhe Atoll. Some beach villas are equipped with private garden terraces featuring swimming pools. All beach villas are equipped with modern amenities such as outdoor rain shower, TV, coffee, tea making facilities, electric kettle, bedroom and outdoor slippers and bathrobes. All In-Ocean villas are built apart from the island by the house reefs. Each In-ocean is spacious and each has an infinity pool. All villas have direct access to the beach and the ocean. Wi-fi is available throughout the island. Angsana's chefs serve a wide variety of local and international cuisines. Maldivian cuisine, fresh seafood and international dishes are served at the resorts three restaurants. It’s iconic Funa restaurant, serves a fresh lobster dinner. For additional dining guests are able to book a destination dining experience, an in-villa dining experience, or a floating breakfast. Guests can relax with Angsana’s award-winning spa treatments, request for dolphin-watching trips, whale shark excursions or fishing in a traditional Maldivian Dhoni. Wonderful relaxing stay. Staff are very helpful and nice. 2 bedroom villa was amazing with all the amenities. Only note is that the showers and toilets are outside the room, but still private. It’s great for washing up after the beach and keeping sand out of the rooms. Also, floors in the public areas (reception, restaurant, bar) are sand, so no need to bring fancy heels!

The photographs do not do this property justice. The rooms and ocean views are amazing. The staff was extremely friendly. If you are a foodie this may not be the property for you. The all inclusive / full board option included breakfast, lunch and dinner at specified times (not all day as you like). In room dining is offered, but is not included in the all inclusive / full board package, and the pricing for food is high. There are also only two locations for food: one on the “main island” where the beach villas are located and one on the island where the over the ocean villas are located. I only visited the location where the over ocean villas are located. The food that was provided was very good. However, I am one who can eat the same things daily and be fine. Breakfast was buffet style. Lunch and dinner menus at the restaurant on the island where the ocean villas are located does not change. The bar tenders make great drinks. In room snacks consist of a small package of Pringle’s and a snickers bar which is replenished once per day. Drinks in room include water, beer, a bottle of vodka, a bottle of rum and two small bottles of wine - one white and one red, in addition to Orange Fanta and sprite. The seaplane ride is about an hour and you will likely have a drop off / pick up on your way. But the hotel is great about arranging travel and a representative was waiting at the airport and was extremely helpful in navigating the airport.

Maledivy sú známe blaženým prostredím, vynikajúcimi možnosťami na šnorchlovanie a potápanie, plážovými vilami, tmavomodrým morom s tyrkysovými lagúnami a vynikajúcim jedlom. Výlet na Maledivy je vždy nezabudnuteľným zážitkom, uspokojením pre dušu a potešením pre oči, krištáľovo čisté vody, tropické biele piesočné pláže, farebná flóra a nedotknutá príroda. Ale dávajte si pozor, raj nie je lacný.
