Cozumel är en ö i Karibiska havet utanför den östra kusten av Mexikos Yucatánhalvön, mittemot Playa del Carmen, och nära Yucatánkanalen. Huvudstaden på ön är San Miguel de Cozumel. Öarna tillhör Cozumels kommun i delstaten Quintana Roo, Mexiko. Det finns ganska många strandklubbar som erbjuder snorkling och de huvudsakliga attraktionerna är reven utanför kusten och de många dykbutikerna.
Cozumel erbjuder också flera mayanska arkeologiska platser. De mest omfattande lämningarna finns vid "San Gervasio", en inlandsplats några mil norr om motorvägen "Carretera Transversal". En annan plats ligger nära byn El Cedral, inåt landet från motorvägen "Carretera Costera Sur". I Punta Sur Park, vid öns södra spets, finns templet "El Caracol", som man tror användes som en fyr av mayafolket.
