São Vicente Ferreira is a civil parish in the municipality of Ponta Delgada in the Portuguese archipelago of the Azores. MAIN TOURIST ATTRACTIONS - Monte Verde: The highest point in São Vicente at 725 meters (2,379 feet). The top of the mountain hosts several communications towers and is the only place on the island where you will find a variety of wild green plants. - São Pedro: A long sandy beach located just behind the airport. - Praia Grande: A beach around the headland from Calhau, popular with locals on weekends. - Baía das Gatas: An amazingly sheltered bay. The shallow, calm waters make this area perfect for bathing.
