Vilamoura Portugal

Vilamoura is an unincorporated area on the southern coast of Portugal, featuring one of the largest single tourist complexes in Europe and covering about 2,000 hectares of land. The nearest airport is in Faro. It forms one of the three corners of what is now known as the Algarve’s Golden Triangle. From 1996 to 2003, the area hosted the annual Almond Blossom Cross Country competition, and the same course was used as the venue for the 2000 IAAF World Cross Country Championships.
