San Agustín, Gran Canaria Spain

In the south of Gran Canaria lies the beach of San Agustín, within the tourist area of the same name. It’s a holiday beach that offers all the usual accommodation and services, yet it remains very quiet because it’s less crowded. Even at night it’s peaceful, without the usual hustle and bustle of a busy resort. San Agustín beach is ideal for days of pure relaxation, and if that tranquillity isn’t enough, one of the island’s largest thalassotherapy centres is just a short walk away. San Agustín is an urban beach over 600 metres long with soft, golden sand. The sea is calm, with little current, and the moderate waves are perfect for having fun with the kids at the water’s edge. Along its long seafront promenade, which links southwards to the resort of Playa del Inglés, you’ll find plenty of terraces, bars and restaurants where you can eat. The beach has sunbeds and umbrellas for hire, lifeguards, showers, free parking and a good connection to the Maspalomas bus network.
