The city of La Spezia is located ubidacada in the region of Liguria, in Northern Italy, and is at the same time the capital of the province that has the same name, located in the Gulf of La Spezia, also known as Golfo dei Poeti (of the poets) since it was the residence for some time of important English poets such as Percy Bysshe Shelley (1792-1822) and George Byron (1788-1824). Said is the commercial port, one of the most important in Italy although La Spezia also hosts one of the biggest military industries of the country: OTO Melara. Although La Spezia stands out as a modern city (almost all the buildings were built from 1920), there are many places of interest in the surrounding area since the area has very beautiful villages such as Lerici, Portovenere (typical fishing village) and the Cinque Terre, where a national Natural Park has been developed. Cinque Terre, Portovenere and the islands of Palmaria, Tino and Tinetto, have been declared by the Unesco as world heritage.

Capri town is the main settlement on the island and is reachable via a funicular railway that runs from the dock in Marina Grande. The town's main square, Piazza Umberto, is a busy central area that contains a few shops, cafes and restaurants and is where the funicular railway terminates. Surrounding the square are the ''Torre dell'Orologio'', or Clock Tower and the islands main church, San Stefano. Anacapri is the islands second largest settlement and lies a couple of miles west of Capri town. Anacapri offers visitors many art and craft shops and also the chance to enjoy a trip on a chair lift up to the summit of Mount Solaro.

Catania is the second largest city in Sicily. Buried seven times by fierce eruptions of the Etna volcano and several earthquakes, much of its monuments have been destroyed. Nonetheless, the old town is well maintained, so much so, that it was declared a World Heritage Site in 2002. In the city center visitors will be able to enjoy the major feature of the city: its baroque architecture. The main examples are the Cathedral Square, Piazza del Duomo ,with the Elephant Fountain, the adorned Cathedral, founded in the 11th century on the ruins of the ancient baths and the impressive 13th century Ursino Castle. The remains of the Roman and Greek heritage can still be witnessed at the former Acropolis of Katane that includes the Roman Theatre, built by Greeks and reconstructed by Romans, the Odeon and the Amphitheatre. Chaotic, noisy and boisterous, Catania’s nightlife is buzzing, hundreds of bars, clubs and eateries are at hand where to get infected with the joie de vivre of the city’s population.

Toulon is a medium size city between Marseille and Nice. It is in the west of French Riviera and in the southeast of Provence. The history of Toulon is about three thousand years old.The vieille ville was built in the Middle ages. The historical center is located just north of the harbour. You'll see very small intricate streets. The harbour and its promenade are full of souvenir shops, coffee shops and fish restaurants. The most important places to visit in Toulon are: Tour de l'horloge, a monumental clock at the entry of the naval base. Saint François de Paule church. Built in the 18th Century, it is of typical baroque style. Place Puget, in the historical center, is the ancient center of the town. You'll find a fountain built in 1780. You'll enjoy staying in the shade of this place, at a coffee shop, during a hot afternoon. The Saint Marie de la Seds Cathedral is near Place Puget. Built in the 11th century, it has never been finished, but widened in 1738. There are numerous paintings of the18th Century.Beautiful beaches may be found in the small towns around Toulon.
