Favignana, Sicily Italy

The Italian island of Favignana is the primary one of the Egadas Islands. It's situated 7 km from the western coast of Sicily, between Trapani and Marsala, facing the Salitre Islands. In the past, the name of Favignana was "Aegusa", a term meaning "Butterfly", due to the shape of the island. The current name comes from the "Favonio", which is a specific type of wind.
