Islantilla Spain

Islantilla is a seaside resort and community made up of the coastal municipalities of Isla Cristina and Lepe, in the province of Huelva, Andalusia, on the Costa de la Luz in the southwest of Spain. The joint resort project was created in 1991 with the aim of becoming one of the main tourist destinations in the province of Huelva. It lies between Urbasur beach to the west and La Antilla to the east. Its name comes from combining Isla Cristina and La Antilla. In 2010 it had 1,261 inhabitants, with 528 in Isla Cristina and 733 in Lepe. It forms a continuous built-up area of more than 5 kilometres in length, running from Urbasur to La Antilla.
