São Vicente Ferreira is a civil parish in the municipality of Ponta Delgada in the Portuguese archipelago of the Azores. MAIN TOURIST ATTRACTIONS - Monte Verde: The highest point in São Vicente at 725 metres. The top of the mountain hosts several communications towers and is the only place on the island where you’ll find a variety of wild green plants. - São Pedro: A long sandy beach just behind the airport. - Praia Grande: A beach around the headland from Calhau, popular with locals at the weekends. - Baía das Gatas: An exceptionally sheltered bay whose shallow, calm waters make it perfect for bathing.
